I'm not sure I can remember a time before PJ Masks was in our lives, it's now such a firm favourite with the boys, especially Little O. So I was absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to review the brand new PJ Masks magazine which went on sale this month.
This is a monthly magazine for preschool age children and is full of amazing free gifts, games and activities. This issue has a click camera with separate flash and night lens attachments. There is also a bunch of keys which Little O informed me were for the Cat Car. It's a good thing I have him with me to explain these things.
The best free gift by far is the disc launcher watch. Though it took me a minute to work out how to open it, this has proved to be the most popular toy of them all. It comes with two discs which shoot out an amazing distance, so watch out for faces and eyes! It also doubles as a way to play 'fetch' with your 19 month old toddler - who knew!
The magazine itself is an impressive size and appears to have plenty in it to keep my own little heroes occupied. The inside cover features a cut-out Cat Car to make and there are also lots of colouring and puzzle activities, an A3 sized poster and a 3D game to pull out and play.
Little O is a real bookworm and his favourite feature was inevitably the sticker story. He was really drawn in by the colourful graphics and it was lovely to sit with him and enjoy the story together.
My only criticism would be that the toys are clearly quite cheaply made and I'm not 100% sure they would survive a play date however they were free with the magazine, and at £2.99 an issue, I'd say you definitely get your money's worth overall.
The PJ Masks magazine is out now and available from supermarkets and newsagents across the UK.
I wrote this review in return for a free copy of the magazine.
